Writing = Work = Success

I know, some will find this to be a strange heading. Let me explain. A writer does more than write. There is all of the extra that is involved. - Brainstorming: This is a big part of the writing process, coming up with new ideas, new plot lines and new characters--oh boy the characters! This is not so bad when you are creating human characters, but if it is an alien--that becomes a task. What name sounds right for an alien? -Writing: After coming up with the ideas, now it is time to put them into a story line. That means creating places, themes, building worlds. Describing the characters, the events, the locations. So much goes into this creative process.

-Edits: Many authors choose to just write an edit later. Some choose to edit along the way (I am that type). Editing is a big part of writing. Sure, you can hire an editor, but the less they have to edit is better for the writer in the long run.

-More Writing: After the edits, it is back to writing and sometimes re-writing. Making changes along the way. Creating story boards to help with layouts (if you are a planner). I myself, I go with the flow, I am what they call a "pantser" and that means writing by the seat of my pants. No planning, no story boards. Just taking those ideas and going with them.

All of this, Writing leads to a lot of work which leads to success, if done correctly.
